Sponsored Walk by Julie Briggs
“Last week was a very busy community week for our director Julie Briggs as she completed a very hot sponsored walk for Katharine House Hospice with her buddy Monty, who is General Manager of Banbury Rugby Club.
Entitled NOT the Midnight Walk 2021, Julie and Monty and hundreds of other supporters set off from Banbury Rugby Club to complete in the Hospice’s annual major fundraising event where people could choose to walk either six or 10 miles in and around Banbury. Julie and Monty opted for six miles and were delighted to be part of such a worthwhile effort to help raise much-needed funds for Katharine House, which has a £3million fundraising target to reach this year.
Julie said. “With every penny raised going towards running the hospice’s services to ensure people with life-limiting conditions, and their family and friends, continue to receive high levels of wonderful care, I wanted to play my part in supporting such a fantastic local facility. Armed with hats, sun cream and plenty of water, it was fantastic to be involved and be cheered on by the local community too.”
